«Seit ich mit NEEDTOBREATHE Musik mache, denke ich daran, wie’s wohl wäre solo unterwegs zu sein», sagt Bear Rineheart in einem Interview. Jetzt hat er nach vielen Jahren mit seiner Stamm-Band ein Solo-Debütalbum veröffentlich. Es heisst «Wilder Woods», genau wie Bear Rinehearts Künstlername. Der setzt sich aus den Vornamen seiner Söhne «Wilder» und «Woods» zusammen.
Das Album kommt in lockerem Retro-Soul und R’n’B-Ambiente daher. Die charakteristische Stimme und der eindringliche Gesang von Bear «Wilder Woods» Rineheart sorgen dafür, dass die Songs des Albums nie zu nett oder gar belanglos wirken.
